ABOUT TODD KULKIN, ESQ.
Todd P. Kulkin is an attorney who focuses in the areas of business law, start-up ventures, and not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Kulkin received his Juris Doctorate in Financial Transactions in the aftermath of the financial crisis and, as a result, is risk management focused. He began his legal career at one of the U.S.’s largest law firms representing and advising Fortune 500 companies. He left that firm in 2012 to open his own practice. Now Mr. Kulkin serves as outsourced general counsel for start-up companies, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations in the United States and abroad.
Todd has been honored by the Reuters Publication Superlawyers as a "Rising Star" in business law for the New York Metro Area for the past three years running. Only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 or being in practice less than 10 years in the New York Metro Area are given this distinguished honor.
Todd is a consummate educator dedicated to empowering his clients with the knowledge needed to accelerate growth and mitigate risk. He regularly teaches other attorneys about start-up and not-for-profit legal issues on lawline.com and is often contacted by those attorneys for advice.
Mr. Kulkin graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a triple major and from University at Buffalo Law School with a J.D. in Financial Transactions.
Mr. Kulkin is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York.
The Law Offices of Todd Kulkin, P.C. is a boutique law firm in New York City which provides legal services to the small business, venture, and non-profit sectors. We provide a wide range of legal services from the basics of entity formation and contract drafting to strategic counseling and dispute resolution.
Our founder began the firm in 2012 after leaving a large law firm dissatisfied with the way in which traditional law firms served their clients: focusing on the billable hour. As a result, the Law Offices of Todd Kulkin, P.C. works entirely on a flat fee system and always takes ethical considerations first when considering a course of action.
The entrepreneurial space is vast and can be difficult to navigate and manage without a proper guide. We provide counsel to start-up companies and small businesses with an eye toward growth and mitigated risk.
We are unique in the way we handle for-profit as well as not-for-profit organizations. Not-for-profit organizations have special legal challenges that their for-profit counterparts don't have. We apply business strategy to not-for-profit management with an eye toward compliance and protection of the organization's tax exempt status.
